Weatherford Club Celebrates 25 Years

The Weatherford Toastmasters club celebrated its 25th anniversary on January 31st. There was a good turnout of visitors and club members, who met at 6pm for a social gathering with food and  drinks, and the meeting at 7:00pm. The theme of the evening was “Toastmaster Membership.Harry Clay and John Payne, two of the original members who started the club 25 years ago, attended and spoke about how the club got its start in Weatherford.

Other members in the club spoke about how Toastmasters has changed their lives by building confidence, improving speaking and writing skills, and improving leadership skills in their lives and their workplace. Member Michael Kinser spoke about the Toastmasters organization outside of the local club.

The next exciting event of the Weatherford Toastmasters club will be the “Tall Tales” contest that will be held on February 21. The meeting will be fun and the stories will
be interesting. All are welcome, guests and members alike.
