Denton Toastmasters Club #3055 held an Open House on March 26. We had 20 members and six guests. Contributing to the success of the evening were Kim Lee’s delightful chocolate chip cookies and Kate Breece’s fresh vegetables. Area Governor Amelinda Salas brought two six-foot long sandwiches. Kim and Kate set up decorations and Jennifer Sands supplied plastic flowers and vases.

The visitors said they had fun, enjoyed the refreshments and learned a lot. Two joined immediately, and three plan to join next week.

Lessons learned? Create a quality meeting and have a good time. Food is like a magnet, especially if you serve Terry Brantley’s unbelievable cherry cheesecake.
