On March 27, Afterburners Club had an Open House/26th Anniversary celebration. We had six guests; three were Toastmasters from another club. Another guest wants to return for a “normal” meeting (if she only knew), and I think I saw another one writing a check!

We went the whole nine yards with food and decorations. These people did an outstanding job of planning and organizing: LaShawn Carter, Brenda Daniels, Jim Hummel, Rufus Moses, Rose Timmons, and Holly Trinh.

We had a very nice slate of speakers, excellent Table Topics responses and good speech evaluations. It was a well-organized, well-run meeting, said the toastmaster herself.

We also had fun, it was great experience for the organizers and helpers, and we might get a couple of new members!
