District 25 has a Speakers Bureau. We’ve had one for a while, and this year we have a new chair. Help me welcome Calvin Dorsey to the team. He has taken on the task of getting the word out to the community that there are some wonderful speakers in our district. Calvin is a former college professor, a member of the National Speakers Association, and several other professional associations. This gives him a vast pool of contacts he can use to help our speakers make connections and take advantage of speaking opportunities.

Calvin plans to create a marketing campaign he will use to inform a variety of organizations about the availability of speakers for their events. He also plans to visit as many clubs as he can to let our members know more about the Speakers Bureau. Contact him at SpeakersBureau@d25toastmasters.org to schedule a visit with your club.

There are a few requirements to become part of this group. Interested speakers must be members in good standing of D25, have completed either a CC or Levels 1 & 2 in Pathways, and audition with a 10-minute speech. Contact Calvin for more information.

If you have a desire to speak to groups outside of Toastmasters, and are an expert in your field of interest, the Speakers Bureau may just be the place for you.
