Train The Trainer

Train The Trainer

By Chris Raneri, DTM, Club Growth Director

I remember the first time I got the opportunity to train our club officers. I thought I was well prepared and I knew exactly what it took to make sure I provided stellar training.  In reality, I just read through the material provided by TI and made sure everyone had the handout.  It took several more attempts at being a trainer before I felt I had delivered the subject appropriately. Should I have put myself through that?  Better yet, should I have put the club officers through that?  If only there was a way to be trained ahead of time.

Fortunately for you there is training that can help.  If I had taken advantage of it, not only would I have been provided techniques to effectively get my message across, but our club officers would have been given the ability to better understand the subject.  Don’t be like me and struggle through being a trainer.  While this is not required to be a TLI trainer, attending the Train-the-Trainer session on 6/1 will ensure you have all the skills you need to also provide outstanding training all the time.

We owe it to our students to be our best, so they can be their best!  Hope to see you on 6/1 (8-12:30) at Texas Wesleyan University.
