A successful club attracts members and keeps them engaged. All of us want our clubs to be successful. How many members should a club have to be successful? After conducting a survey of members’ satisfaction and an analysis of the Distinguished Club Program, Toastmasters International has changed the minimum club membership level from 6 to 8, effective April 1, 2014. The first full TLI is December 14 at Texas Wesleyan University. Also available at your “holiday escape” is judges training and various other elective classes to choose from. Thanks to all members involved especially our judges and Chief Judges Our contest season consists of the 38 contests with at least 242 judging opportunities followed by 38 Chief Judging positions. Ever wonder how people get elected to District offices? The District Nominating Committee nominates candidates for district office and screens candidates for eligibility. Here’s the process the Nominating Committee follows to select future District officers: The Nominating Committee is usually headed by the Immediate Past District Governor. Easy Method for Adding Ribbons to Club Banners
CCAT banner using easy eyelet method. Do you pull your hair out when it’s time to add a ribbon to your club’s banner? If so, stop pulling! I’ve found a simple and pain-free way to attach the ribbons that looks professional, doesn’t involve a sewing machine, and won’t damage the banner. With this method, an eyelet is inserted into each ribbon and then strung onto a piece of elastic cord that is then attached to the banner.
