Paul Newman once said during the movie Cool Hand Luke, “What we’ve got here is failure to communicate.”  This month’s outstanding member is quite the opposite of this statement.  As Area Director, Marian skillfully keeps her clubs in the know of the most important things to pay attention to, as well as upcoming district events.  Her communications are efficient, but still provide a personal touch.

She is out in front, leading by example.  She ensures members are prepared for club meetings, as well as going the extra mile by doing the “little things” to make others around her feel special.  When faced with challenges, she meets them head on and uses each opportunity as a learning experience.

It is my privilege to congratulate Marian Hicks for earning the title of Outstanding member in May.  She is an asset to the clubs she is a member of, as well as to the clubs she supports.   Thank you for all you do to support the members of District 25!
