Soapbox Heroes had such an amazing Open House meeting! Jodie Sanders did a fantastic job as our Open House chair and we were so honored to have Thomas Torlincasi (Area 11 Governor) present an incredible speech. The Presidents’ Breakfast and Training was a Hit!
Saturday, January 18th, sixty-four District 25 club Presidents filled the room at the Baker Building at Texas Wesleyan. They were there to attend the Presidents’ Breakfast and Training. This event was by invitation only and was said to be the best attended Presidents’ Breakfast in district history! In the 1st session, guest speaker Chris Looney spoke about being ethical, committed, supportive, inspirational, trustworthy and trusting as being some of the qualities for leadership. Better Communicator
Chuck Mencke, DTM Out on the Town Club Fort Worth, Texas I felt I severely lacked listening skills in my management duties. Communication the key: Joining Toastmasters and “working” the program not only taught me to be a better listener but also a much better communicator. I decided that I didn’t need Toastmasters, I had all the answers. If I would have stayed with Toastmasters back in 1980, there is no way I could imagine what direction my business career could have taken me. “With my Toastmasters family, I have been able to soar to new heights.”

Santa-Thon Speech-a-Thon!
Nationstar Speaks Toastmasters Club had a holiday-themed Santa-Thon meeting on December 18th, 2013! Each of the six speakers wore holiday hats and told creative stories about reindeer. As you can see from our photos, it was joyous and hilarious. Ice Breakers celebrates its 5th Anniversary!
