September 12th and 19th were important days for District 25 and our brand. What A Year for Power Communicators
At the District 25’s Awards Banquet held Saturday, August 25, 2012, the Power Communicators club celebrated a successful Toastmaster’s year. The Power Communicators had high goals for the 2011-2012 year under the leadership of Carol Makil, and had the honor to be recognized that night for their hard work and achievements. Top Notch Toastmasters Contest
Top Notch Toastmasters held their club contest on Wednesday, September 13th at Julie’s Fresh Kitchen, where the club regularly meets. Out of the nine contestants (four in evaluation and five in humorous) only two had been with TNT for more than eight months. In fact, one of the humorous contestants, James Walker ( second from right) gave his ice breaker that night as a contestant! Dues are due. Those are words you’ll hear often as a member of a District 25 Toastmasters club. Experience has shown it takes considerable effort and many reminders to get members to decide to renew their memberships and render payment. Happy 50th Chuck Hansen
Chuck Hansen, a member of both Irving Toastmasters and Colleyville Toastmasters, celebrated his 50th anniversary in a special ceremony on September 10, 2012. It was hosted by his home club, Irving Toastmasters. The gala evening included a cake and much applause for this outstanding Toastmaster who has influenced so many other Toastmasters for half a century. What a legacy. Congratulations, Chuck. You are an inspiration to us all. Here’s to the next fifty!
