Youth Leadership Students Speak Out About Education

On May 13, 2014, four students were selected to speak before the Fort Worth Independent School District Board Members and a packed house of two hundred or more attendees. These students are fourth and fifth graders at Bill J. Elliott Elementary School located in Fort Worth and they had just successfully completed the eight week “Youth Leadership Program.” In fact, we had a total of thirty-three students participate in the program, sixteen in the fall semester and seventeen in the spring semester. Club Officer Training Gets an Upgrade

Exciting new changes are coming to our Officer Training this summer!  The upgraded training format is designed to better equip club officers as they fulfill roles individually and as a team. It will ensure that well-trained officers can create a quality club environment, thrive in the Distinguished Club Program, and “provide a supportive and positive learning experience” for their members. The Saturday officer trainings will be from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon. To get credit for training, an officer must attend the general session and the specific officer session. What a great Open House Meeting of Looking Forward and Giving Back on May 27th! Kudos to Chairperson Rose Timmons for coordinating a memorable evening with delicious refreshments, chaired by Laurie Dulin, and nice patriotic decorations, chaired by Brenda Daniels! USB Texas Toast Brinks Wells Fargo Dallas/Ft Worth District 25 had the honor of a special visitor at our Spring Conference.
