A Time to Celebrate – TNT Rocks!

On Wednesday, June 27, 2012, Top Notch Toastmasters (TNT) held a big “end of the Toastmaster year” celebration. The club had much to celebrate and to be very proud of achieving thanks to the hard work of the club’s members and executive team. Jody Helton, DTM, and fellow TNT Toastmaster, as well as the owner of Julie’s Fresh Kitchen, prepared a delicious TexMex buffet for the members and guests to enjoy. Jody’s cooks did not disappoint us. All of the dishes were perfectly prepared. Our distinguished incoming District 25 Governor, Bonne Stroman, was in attendance to celebrate the club’s success....

THANK YOU for What’s Beyond the Numbers

We made it!  District 25 is a Distinguished district! That’s thrilling for me and it should be for us all. It was my privilege and pleasure to serve as Lt. Governor Marketing, and now, as I begin my work as Lt. Governor Education and Training, I’d like to share my perspective on our achievements in 2011-2012. Our final numbers are impressive. We rank number 20 among districts in the world. That’s great, and this post could be devoted entirely to detailing our happy numbers. But as the members of our 2011-2012 trio (Diana Patton, Bonne Stroman and me) have said, the...

D25 Makes Distinguished

Our Toastmaster 2011-2012 ended on June 30, 2012 with District receiving District recognition. I hope that this was your best Toastmaster year yet. I know it was mine. So many members, club officers, and members of the District leadership team truly let their light shine by becoming better leaders and communicators. I will have fond memories of members that reached deep within themselves to find that special spark and let it shine which in turned ignited the flame within their clubs. Perhaps this was their first education award, first time to serve as a club officer, first contest experience, or first conference which caused...
