It’s NOT your typical Toastmasters Open House.

The MotorMouths Toastmaster Club met on Sunday, Oct 26th for their monthly meeting and to host a special Open House. MotorMouths has been meeting at Mimi’s Café in Fort Worth off Bryant Irving.  The Open House started like any normal meeting, we had 4 guests attend. Karen Hagar gave an Advance Manual speech followed by a round of Table Topics from member and Area Governor, Paul Berry. After Karen’s evaluation from Larry Harmon and the General Evaluators report from Felicia Christian, the MotorMouths wrapped up the business portion of the meeting, extended an invitation to our guests to join Toastmasters or to come back and visit with us. With all these items done, most meetings would be completed but not with MotorMouths!!

As a Specialty Club, the meetings just continue down the road. That’s right, those members and guests who have a motorcycle or would like to ride with someone else hit the open road, we went for about a 60 mile cruise. Seven of the club members and guests continued the meeting over lunch at Babe’s Chicken in Granbury.

After lunch we continued the ride through the curvy roads of the country side. We made a quick stop to see our club member Becky Shannon who has been ill and not able to attend the last couple of months. After a brief visit we continued the leisurely countryside drive making our way back into Weatherford before everyone headed home.

Doesn’t this sound like a club you would like to join?  Motorcycle ownership is not a requirement to be part of MotorMouths Toastmasters.
