Jim Key was District 50’s Humorous Speech Champion before getting involved in the International Speech Contest. He was the first person to ever make it to the World Championships of Public Speaking in three consecutive years, where he finished as the first runner-up in 2001 and 2002, before taking the top award and becoming the World Champion of Public Speaking in 2003. Since then, he has coached and mentored scores of competitors, including several Finalists, and two subsequent World Champions.
