Strive Not! THRIVE!

Flower Mound Toastmasters introduced their President’s THRIVE Award at the July 24 meeting. The President, Joyce Trimble, also introduced her year’s theme, STRIVE NOT! THRIVE, and awarded the first award to visiting District Governor, Marylee Mims.

THRIVE is an acronym for;
Tenacious, Persistent in creating a welcoming chapter climate, Heartfelt, Sincere and genuine efforts to demonstrate the best Toastmaster efforts,
Responsible, Had control over their assigned duties during the meeting,
Inspirational, Inspired other Toastmasters to give their best,
Versatile, Willingly adapted to different functions or activities during the meeting,
Engaging, Drew favorable interest to Toastmasters with our guests and provided encouragement to the membership.

The President’s Award will be presented at each meeting and the recipient will receive a special award.

Marylee receives an energy drink as Joyce congratulates her, “You gave everyone an extra boost tonight!”
