Want to elevate your speaking skills from some of the top Toastmasters speakers ever?  Want to enjoy an evening of food and fun with others interested in improving their communication skills?  Then come to Irving Toastmasters’ Open House at 7:00 pm on Monday, May 12 as the club will show David Brooks’ one hour DVD, “Magic Moments One.”

Brooks, the 1990 World Champion of Public Speaking, took the best moments from the International Speech Contest from 1990-2000, and highlights examples of outstanding: openings, writing, body language, humor, and other advanced speaking skills.  Magic Moments 1 and companion DVD MM 2 have become the best selling and most watched educational programs in Toastmasters history. 

Adding to the fun is food, as attendees are asked to bring a pot luck dish-although it’s not required.  This special meeting will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 2700 Warren Cr. in Irving. The church is located at the corner of Rochelle and Wingren. From Hwy. 183 in Irving, take O’Connor Rd. north about ½ mile, turn right on Rochelle. The church will be ½ mile on right. From 114, take O’Connor Rd. south past Northgate and turn left on Rochelle. The church will be ½ mile on right.
