Toastmasters International enjoys recognizing organizations that consistently support Toastmasters clubs within their organization. The City of Irving was honored to receive the Corporate Recognition Award, a beautiful crystal trophy, this year.
Irving wholeheartedly supports the ICE (Irving City Employees) Breakers Toastmasters Club. The city offers the group a place to meet at City Hall and lets employees take a break from their jobs to attend weekly meetings. Stan See, Region Advisor of Toastmasters International, presented the award to city manager Tommy Gonzalez at a luncheon meeting on Friday.
Gonzalez said he was glad the city could support the club. “We provide the forum and give you the resources you need to succeed and lead,” he said. “This award proves you don’t want to lose and that you want to win. You are the best.”
