Speakers Bureau – Kim Story

Public speaking has always been a passion for Kim. As early as high school, she competed in speech, poetry, and debate tournaments. A graduate of Texas A&M University, she received her degree in Speech Communication, then went on to teach Public Speaking as a graduate student at Wake Forest. She has performed stand-up comedy at venues such as the Addison Improv, Backdoor Comedy club, and Hyenas. Since joining Toastmasters in 2014, she has used her speaking expertise to compete in district contests and mentor fellow members. Kim has served in a variety of publicity and leadership roles within her church, A&M Clubs, and Toastmasters. She has been a guest on fellow Toastmaster Bindu Chintha’s Inspire & Empower podcast. Her career in private education and as a presenter has allowed her to become not only a master of speechcraft, but a teacher of it. She has spent 15 years in the test prep industry, helping high school students excel on the SAT and ACT tests to get into college. For the last 6 years she has worked for the DFW-based company, KD College Prep, filling roles ranging from teacher, presenter, manager, inside sales, and tech support. Her motto is “be the change you wish to see in the world” Mahatma Gandhi and she truly believes that “you can have everything you want in life, if you just help enough other people get what they want” Zig Ziglar.
