Kate Barlow is a storyteller, humanitarian, learner and facilitator. She brings humor, warmth and love to human experiences shared through speeches and essays. She believes connections to other people create the greatest emotions and stories of our lives. The basis for Kate’s narratives are interests and events from her life. Stories can help us heal from loss, laugh at blunders, change careers, develop more courage and enjoy the little moments. You’ll also find Kate using audience participation as she inspires with up-to-date concepts and research.

Professionally, Kate has held marketing positions in the private, non-profit and public sectors. She’s led tour groups and worked closely with the media as she served as the City of Southlake’s first economic development professional.
Kate earned her master of urban planning at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana during which she received the department’s annual Master’s Project/Thesis Award. She served on the Southlake, TX Planning and Zoning Commission and is an alternate member of the City of Bedford, TX Zoning Board of Adjustments. She currently works as a Webinar Presenter for Dynamic Works which is part of Dynamic Workforce Solutions, a national workforce training, consulting, management, and administrative services organization.
Kate is highly involved at her parish, Good Shepherd Catholic Community in Colleyville. She taught weekly religious education for fifteen years and volunteers in numerous ministries including Adult Singles facilitator and lector.
