Brief Description of
District Annual Special Awards

Area Director of the Year
This award recognizes an area director whose dedication, commitment and area team significantly contributed to district goal achievements.

Division Director of the Year
This award recognizes a division director for outstanding performance in membership building and retention, club extension, education/training, leadership and other areas critical to district success.

Toastmaster of the Year
This award recognizes the Toastmaster whose dedication, commitment and efforts significantly contributed towards achieving the goals and mission of the district and who best exemplifies the values of Toastmasters International: integrity, respect, service and excellence. This honoree exemplifies the true mean of Toastmasters.

District Director’s Service Award
This award honors a District 25 member whose dedication to service, loyalty to the district, and adherence to the Toastmasters Promise provided outstanding leadership, inspiring others to excel.

District Director Focus Awards

Going the Distance (2020-2021)
This award recognizes a member who committed to celebrating opportunities and helping others which resulted in benefits for themselves and their fellow members.

Raise the Roof Award (2019-2020)
This award recognizes a member who committed to celebrating opportunities and helping others which resulted in benefits for themselves and their fellow members.

One Degree of Change Award (2018-2019)
This award recognizes a member whose commitment to finding new directions and reaching new destinations resulted in benefits for themselves and their fellow members.

It’s Your Journey Award (2017-2018)
This award recognizes a member who unselfishly helped the members of District 25 have a quality experience along their journey this year.

Experience Excellence Award (2016-2017)
This award recognizes a member who unselfishly helped the members and clubs of District 25 to “Experience Excellence.”

Achieve Excellence Award (2015-2016)
This award recognizes a member who unselfishly helped the members and clubs of District 25 “Achieve Excellence.”

It Takes a Team Award (2014-2015)
This award recognizes a member who models effective leadership by working with others to build a team dedicated to achieving club, area, division and district goals.

Looking Forward, Giving Back Award (2013-2014)
This award honors a District 25 member who embodies the meaning of the District Governor’s theme, encouraging members to explore opportunities in the Toastmasters journey while giving back through mentoring and district service.

Explore the Possibilities Award (2012-2013) 
This award recognizes a member who explored the possibilities that Toastmasters has to offer, showing extraordinary dedication to the success of District 25 and to the values of Toastmasters International, growing ever stronger in leadership and service throughout the year. This member took to heart our 2012—2013 focus: “Explore the Possibilities!”

Let It Shine Award (2011-2012) 
This award recognizes a member who uncovered that little light within, showing extraordinary dedication to the success of District 25 and to the values of Toastmasters International, growing ever brighter in leadership and service throughout the year. This member truly “Let It Shine!”

Rookie of the Year*
This award recognizes one Toastmaster who has been a member for less than one year, whose dedication, commitment, and efforts significantly contributed towards achieving the goals and mission of the district.

Dr. Curtis Trent Service Award**
(First presented 2006-2007 Toastmaster Year)

This award honors the Toastmaster who best exemplifies the attributes of
Dr. Curtis Trent. His unyielding diligence to the Toastmasters promise and his
commitment to keep it made Dr. Trent an inspiration
to the members of District 25.
By his outstanding leadership, his loyalty to the district leaders,
and his dedication to service, Dr. Trent defined the true
meaning of being a Toastmaster.
