Your Unique Reason for Being:
Why Purpose is So Enticing
It’s almost impossible today to go a day without hearing something about purpose. It’s everywhere in the media and discussed by people who say they know their own, people who wish desperately they did, and leaders in board rooms across the globe.
Just what is the big deal about purpose, anyway? And why are people so obsessed with it in their personal and work lives?
Dr. Alise Cortez shares what she has learned from her own meaning in work and identity research, hosting her Working on Purpose radio program, the work she has done to develop people and leaders across the globe, and a tight literature review of best practices surrounding the matter. She will share what comprises purpose, its effect on individual well-being, why leaders and organizations care about cultivating purpose in the workplace, and the value of purpose from the vantage point of corporate investors. It turns out, there’s plenty of fire power behind the fuel of purpose!

Celebrating Our Differences
In a world where “sameness” is obsolete, we are all now called to participate in creating a world where differences are embraced and individuality is celebrated. There is more that connects us that separates us and the recognition of a common humanity is the first step in the celebration of our differences – differences that inform our cultures, our values, our minds, and all our ways of being in the world. When we begin to embrace an environment where everyone matters, where everyone is welcomed, and stop pushing against the “other” our differences become our strengths.
Celebrating the diversity of the world we live in allows all people to feel their values, beliefs and experiences are fully appreciated. Jennifer will show you how to build awareness around diversity and foster greater inclusivity to promote richer, meaningful experiences and bridge the gap in separation.
