Have you seen the D25 Facebook page?  It’s filled with celebrations!  Open Houses and Golden Gavel meetings from club after club after club.  Charterversary celebrations with cake (yum!) fill the pictures posted by happy members celebrating.  We’ve had Youth Leadership programs, extravaganzas, and found inspiration in the #MyWhy videos.

D25, you know how to celebrate!  Never stop celebrating.  There are first speeches, new members, best speakers, Level completion, DCP points just to name a few.  Celebrate it all.  Nothing is too small or too big to congratulate someone else for.

My challenge to you – find one thing today to celebrate about yourself and log it.  Did you write your speech or practice it?  Did you choose a path?  Did you read the project in the path?  Did you sign up to be the grammarian even though it’s your least favorite role?  Did you help mentor a new member?  Did you send a text of congratulations, a note of encouragement, or a phone call of praise?  Don’t forget the small stuff – did you ‘think’ about working on your speech?  Celebrate you!

Log your celebration to a journal, your phone, the D25 Facebook page, or all three!  Then, do it again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next.  Every day take a moment to reflect on your celebrations and plan some for the future.  I can’t wait to see them all – Celebrating You, Seventy Years Strong!
