Let’s Cross the Finish Line Together

Let’s Cross the Finish Line Together

By Robi Ley, DTM, District Director

It’s that time of year. The Toastmaster year is almost over. Transitions are happening all over the district. Current role holders are breathing a sigh of relief as they realize they can hand off their duties to the incoming leaders.

WAIT! NOT YET! The key word is “almost”. There are still a couple weeks left to accomplish whatever it was you started out to accomplish. Now is not the time to slow down, or heaven forbid, to stop.

As we approach June 30, look around and see if there is one more thing you can do to help your club, a fellow member, or yourself to reach one more milestone. One speech left to complete a level? One more member needed to reach Distinguished status? It is not too late. You can still make a decision to make one more effort to reach your goal.

let me say this as well; be proud of whatever you have accomplished this year. Everything you did to make that one degree of change is worth celebrating. You moved forward. You made a difference for someone else and helped them move forward. You are a success and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

It’s been a great year. The finish line is in sight. It’s time for the final sprint. So come on . . . let’s all cross the finish line together.
