Golden Triangle Toastmasters Club’s Holiday Celebration was great fun!

Adding to the excitement was our guest, Caylea Young ACG/ALB, a member of Green Heart Toastmasters in Luxembourg. Caylea found our club via the Toastmasters International “find a club” function. Once she contacted us, plans were made for Area 62 Director, Daniel Baumgartner (a member of our club) to transport her from her hotel to the club meeting.

Each member brought a wrapped “White Elephant” gift (something they already had) and attached a table topic to the gift. The Toastmaster handed out the gifts. Each member answered the table topic and opened their gift. (No peeking at the table topic before your turn to speak!)

An abundant amount of food was brought by club members! Having Caylea attend our meeting, exemplified that Toastmasters is an international organization. Caylea commented that Toastmasters around the world were similar. Not only do we share the desire to be better communicators and leaders, Toastmasters everywhere enjoy the social atmosphere and friendly fun.

Consider visiting a club when you are traveling. It will be a rewarding experience for you and the club.
