Dyess Toastmasters in Abilene held an open house on Jan 28 to encourage new membership.  Area 16 Director Diggy Bell explained how a Toastmasters meeting works and D25 Program Quality Director Jodie Sanders gave an overview of the Toastmasters program.  The club is open to the community and because of the club’s close location to the AFB, many club members are active duty servicemembers.  Five new members signed up at the event and five more took applications and said they will be back.

KIDY Television covered the event

“The club president, Jwon Wiggins, says this group has helped him tremendously. He hopes others can benefit as well.
‘Try something new, outside of the box,’ said Wiggins. ‘I think it is an excellent opportunity for people who would just like to improve as a person.’
