Announcement About the Outstanding Officers Program

District 25 has ended the Outstanding Officer Awards program.

The primary reasons for discontinuing the awards were:

First: Every year, there were many nominations from just a few clubs, and many clubs submitted no nominations at all. This meant that many deserving officers never received any recognition.
Second: The lack of interest in the program as evidenced by:
- The scarcity of nominations, which made it difficult for area and division directors to select winners.
- The majority of winners not being present to accept their awards.
Third: Area and division directors were asked to spend too much time on this effort, which did not contribute to the factors affecting the success of their clubs, areas and divisions.

This change does not affect the district-wide awards that are presented at the annual Awards Banquet.
