You never know when just reading a project’s objective will help you.
I recently interviewed for an internal training position. The question was how I would handle a large training audience where there were distractions. Since I had no prior experience to pull from, Project 4 in my advanced manual, Facilitating Discussion, popped into my head. I haven’t even given the presentation; I had only read the objectives.
My answer; pose questions to them, find solutions to remove their distractions and engage them in the conversations at hand.
Thank you Toastmasters: it pays to read the objectives of future speeches.
