Attending district leadership training and the Toastmasters International Convention in Cincinnati was a wonderful experience. I was able to gain new insights from district leaders from around the world. Toastmasters everywhere have the same objective; to become better communicators and leaders! What a fabulous reminder that our organization helps people everywhere!
One of the highlights of the convention was supporting the District 25 International Speech Contestant, DJ Swinyar. The competition at this level is extremely tough. DJ gave an outstanding presentation! I know he will be back representing D25 in the future.
Thanks to all members in D25 for allowing me to represent you at the convention. I have returned even more enthusiastic about the coming year (is that possible?). The first half of club officer training is behind us. We are moving into contest season and on to the Fall Conference . . . Always keep working toward achieving your personal education/leadership goals and your club’s DCP goals.
Ready, set, GO—-let’s have fun as our clubs achieve Distinguished status (or better)!
