At the Hall of Fame awards ceremony on August 22, 2013, members of District 25
assembled onstage at the Toastmasters International Convention in Cincinnati
to receive our awards from Toastmasters International President John Lau.

We did it! District 25 ranked first among the Distinguished Districts of the world! 2012-2013 Distinguished District Governor Bonne Stroman received a plaque “In recognition of superior achievement and dedicated leadership,” a patch for our District banner recognizing our Distinguished status, and a ribbon for our District banner for Excellence in Leadership.

The Excellence in Leadership award is given to districts that have earned Distinguished status for three or more years in a row. District 25 is one of only 12 districts in the world to have achieved a fourth consecutive year as Distinguished. This award recognizes not only the current leadership, but also the Distinguished District Governors preceding Stroman: President’s Distinguished District Governor  David McCallister and Distinguished District Governors David Martin and Diana Patton.

Dean Lampman, Bonne Stroman and Marylee Mims

2012-2013 Lt. Governor Dean Lampman accepted the Excellence in Education and Training award “in recognition of exceptional leadership and achievement in educational programming and training,” while 2012-2013 Lt. Governor Marylee Mims accepted the Excellence in Marketing award “in recognition of exceptional leadership and achievement in membership growth and club extension.”

We passed out the clown noses to celebrate our fun year and remind President John
Lau of the wonderful fall conference he shared with us at “The Greatest Show on Earth.”
On Opening Night, pictures of John and Rebecca Lau in clown noses had been included in
a photostory of their world travels on behalf of Toastmasters International.

Your 2012-2013 leadership team would like to congratulate each member and club of District 25 for YOUR successful year. Members and clubs working toward and achieving their goals makes the difference in having a successful district, one that is able to meet the goals set before us by International. Our district has thrived not only owing to the leadership of our team, but to the dedication of District 25 members to the values of Toastmasters International.

Bonne, Dean, and Marylee thank you for the opportunity to serve as your district trio in 2012-2013. Our district expects to see even greater success this year. Let’s continue to Explore the Possibilities that Toastmasters offers. If we do, we can expect to see District 25 on stage in August, 2014, at the Toastmasters International Convention in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!

By Immediate Past District Governor Bonne Stroman, DTM
