D25 & You: Blossoming Together

Where are you, fellow Toastmaster, on your personal development journey? You can hasten the blossoming of your communications and leadership skills while serving in a volunteer role. Here are a few of many ways you can make a difference for District 25 members:

Marketing
You’ll be much appreciated if you can serve in any of these four marketing roles:

Club Mentors: We added several new clubs in June and expect to add more this summer and beyond. Each new club should have two mentors who serve for six months and help the club establish proper practices, inspire members, and gain momentum. A club mentor helps club leaders get the club on the path to excellence.

Club Coaches: Clubs with 12 or fewer members can have up to two coaches. The duration of the term depends on whether and when the club being coached becomes a Distinguished club under the Distinguished Club Program. A successful club coach receives credit for a portion of the Advanced Leader Silver award, which is the highest level on the leadership track.

Helping Hands Volunteers: A Helping Hands team supports clubs whose membership has dipped (not necessarily to 12) but could bounce back with some extra hands and fresh ideas for stronger meetings. Volunteers must be able to attend three or four consecutive meetings.

Testimonials Editor: We need someone who can take content submitted on the Tell Your Story page and craft it into succinct PowerPoint slides and Web pages.

Conferences
At the fall conference in November, you could address needs for a:

Photo Story Editor, if you are able to use Windows Movie Maker (or other software) to assemble a video capturing conference highlights.

Program Editor, if you can format the program within deadlines using your intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Publisher and photo editing software.
