D25 Shines at International Convention

Las Vegas was in all its glory for this year’s International Convention. Our highly anticipated new brand was unveiled: “Toastmasters International, Where Leaders Are Made!” The lights shined brightly on District 25 at this year’s Convention, and everyone that attended represented D25 in grand style. Our District was honored as a Distinguished District, Diana Patton for Excellence in Education & Training, and Bonne Stroman for Excellence in Marketing! Congratulations, Diana and Bonne, and thank you for all your tireless efforts on behalf of our members. It was wonderful to see our members parade across the stage with our Distinguished banner. All of these accomplishments are honors to be shared by every member of our District.

Our very own Past District Governor David McCallister was busy campaigning and winning a spot on International’s Board of Directors as our representative from Region III. Congratulations, David, we wish you all the best as you help guide our organization into the future; we know you will make us proud and represent us well. Our International Speech contestant, Loren Norris, and his entire family traveled to Vegas to compete on the world stage. We are very proud of Loren for
making our District shine.
It was wonderful to see the first timers from our District as they witnessed what it is like to truly be a part of an International organization. There are so many inspiring stories that members from around the world have to tell. I hope this will be the first of many conferences they will attend and I know they are eager to share their experiences with you. Thank you to everyone for making this year’s International Convention one for the record books for District 25. I hope you canjoin us at the Convention next August; we will be in Orlando where D25 will “Let it Shine” in the Sunshine State.
David Martin
Past District Governor
